2023 Jamboree Subcamp Patches |
|
In the past Jamboree units camped generally by BSA Regions. For 2023 units from various parts of the country were intermixed in the different subcamps. I do not believe the subcamp patches were as widely used in 2017 and 2023. |
(left)-This is the official (Blue) staff patch with unofficial “staff” segments around it. (to the right)-Someone developed all the segments and made them available to individuals who wished to add them to their staff patch. |
2023 Activity Patches |
In 2013 there was a series of 29 “activity” patches. They highlighted the program opportunities at the Jamboree. This theme was repeated in 2023 but not all of the patches have a Jamboree year on them, perhaps they will become standard Summit issues. In 2013 there was a Jamboree catalog and I was able to document and obtain a set. In 2023 there was no catalog, they do not appear to have been very popular, I have not been able to obtain a set and only have this images. More will be added. |
In 2023 the set of back patches used in 2013 was repeated. As stated above there was no catalog in 2023 and these back patches seem not have been very popular, at least they have not been available on eBay or from the Scout dealers. I’m hoping that images or patches will come my way and I’ll show them. |
NESA was as prolific as ever producing patches and items for the Jamboree. |

Warrior Obstacle Course There was a new event at the 2023 Jamboree challenging every Scouts mental and physical acuity. A series of challenges to crawl, run, jump, slide and carry through and across the most challenging inflatables. (see below) -Participants received a token. Times were recorded and winners were awarded a Warrior medal. |
Jamboree 2023 Multi Piece fund raisers |
|
Multiple piece fund raiser patch sets were the rage. I’m not sure if there were more for 2023 or if I just had access to more images. This is just a sampling, to see a listing, check out XXXXXXXXX. I’m unclear if the individual CSP’s in the sets were worn on the uniform. |
