2013 was the 100th Anniversary of the LDS Church’s affiliation with the BSA. Special services were conducted, special patches and neckerchiefs were available. Scouts of the Jewish faith also had special activities at the Jamboree. Of course regular religious
services were held for all faiths. |
![]() Reunions were again held at the Jamboree. As I have stated previously I believe these events were impromptu, unofficially sanctioned. I’m not sure what Philmont has to do with the 1953 or the 2013 Jamboree, perhaps just another opportunity to issue a patch. |

| NESA fund raising was operating full blast. There were fifteen patches, 2 neckerchiefs, belt buckles and coins. Apparently NESA thinks the left breast pocket or shoulder is the proper place for their insignia. Although, someone suggested that most of these patches were not for uniform wear. |

| I joked on one of the previous Jamborees that with the proliferation of staff patches, there might be a special patch for every single staff position. In 2010 and 2013 that seemed to becoming a reality. |
![]() There were a total of 52 Medical Staff patches as identified at scoutmedicalbadges.weebly.com/2013-national-jamboree.html. |

| I’m told that a message from National went out discouraging CSP shaped staff patches. There seem to be noticeably less CSP shaped staff patches, although NESA perhaps didn’t get the memo. |
