Most of the trading was for JSP shaped contingent patches, but contingents still had ordinary patches and there were neckerchiefs, duffle bags and hats. In studying Jamboree photos it appears that there were fewer neckerchief. The trend seemed to be away from neckerchiefs and that included contingents. Adults had worn bolo ties for years and it seemed that more Scouts were wearing them. |

There is a comprehensive listing of over 500 JSP’s and JCP’s as well as OA Jamboree issues in the September 2001edition of ISCA. Volume 1 No 3. |
Activity and Action Centers had free patches, pins and buttons. Exhibitors know that Scouts love souvenirs. Some like the Venturing set of five could be purchased. It gets difficult to separate staff patches from activity center items. The Action Center round, the Preserve Archelogy or Scoutopia could be either. |

Armbands had gone out of favor, but Hometown News had three different border colors. They were private issues. It seems like the Visitors Information armband should be official, but I have not been able to confirm it. |
There is an authoritative website for Medical staff related patches. It covers Jamboree medical insignia from 1937 to date. Check out http://scoutmedicalbadges.weebly.com |
